Second Period Qualification Contents (第二級, External)

1. Middle Level Kicking Techniques (基本腿法)

2. Ping Qie Tui (平切腿, Horizontal Side Cut Kick)
3. Ce Ti Tui (側踢腿, Side Toe Kick)
4. Ce Deng Tui (側蹬腿, Side Heel Kick)

2. Fundamental Training Forms (彈腿, Tan Tui). Number Four, Five, and Six.

3. *Qin Na (or Chin Na, 擒拿)
1. Fan Chan Shou (反纏手, Back Wrap Hand)
2. Da Chan Zhou (大纏肘, Large Wrap Elbow)
3. Hui Tou Qin Yuan (回 頭擒猿, Turn Back to Seize the Ape)

4. *Fighting Forms (搫手, Pan Shou)

5. *Short Defense-Ten Techniques (簡易防身法)

6. *Gong Li Quan (功力拳, Power Sequence) (Long Fist Barehand)
Gong Li Quan means "Power Sequence." It is the second basic sequence trained in Long Fist. This sequence was developed by the Jingwu Association. Once a student is proficient in the first sequence (Lian Bu Quan), this sequence introduces him/her to the training of power and to its applications.

7. *Qi Mei Gun (齊眉棍, Equal Eyebrow Staff) (White Crane Staff)
Qi Mei Gun means "Equal Eyebrow Staff." The name comes from the White Crane style, and all the techniques are designed for a staff which is as tall as the practitioner's eyebrows. This sequence is the most basic long weapon sequence in White Crane, and it initiates the student into the use of long weapons.

All items listed with a * must be passed before the student may enter the next period. Any item listed with a ** is an optional test for those who would like to be tested.
